Start-up of the 650 m² large fire protection laboratory with state-of-the-art furnaces for the testing and further development of fire protection products.

Newly built administration building in Heudorf.

With its Budapest plant, the company has now launched its fourth production plant alongside Kolbingen, Messkirch and Saragossa. SCHAKO is present with branches and representatives throughout Europe.

With the development of fan coil units, SCHAKO has opened up an entirely new product segment.

The company’s own information centre with demonstration laboratory and training suite opens its doors in Kolbingen.

SCHAKO is the first supplier to make use of the benefits of the pulsating air jet with the PIL ceiling pulse diffuser.

With a membrane absorber totally free of mineral fibre, SCHAKO opens up new perspectives in sound protection technology.

The company presents the first independent communicative signalling and switching bus system KOMES.

SCHAKO installs the first components for private living room ventilation and develops the smoke detection system RMS. With facility for flush ceiling or wall mounting, it blends elegantly into the room and is practically immune to soiling.

1980

The first fire damper with metal damper blade comes from SCHAKO – maximum safety for air-conditioning and ventilation systems.

The Ideal Comfort Outlet IKA is designed for the optimum ventilation of high halls.
It is used in the Berlin and Nuremberg trade fair centres and also at Barcelona airport.

The volume control damper VRA with measuring cross is launched.
It guarantees a previously unattainable degree of measurement accuracy.

SCHAKO develops and patents the swirl diffuser DQJ.
Even today, its shape still sets the standard on the market.

The company takes the first step towards creating its own sales network for manufactured products with protective caps for safety shoes.

1928

Ferdinand Schad founds the company, which is involved in the production of surgical instruments under contract. It also manufactures components for the music industry, including flow parts for mouth organs.
