Mixing box MBE/MBP
Fields of application
For controlling and mixing hot and cold air in two-channel air-conditioning installations.
Function
In the case of two-duct air-conditioning installations, hot and cold air are mixed by means of two built-in volumetric flow controllers so that the inlet air can be blown into the room at the correct temperature. The measuring sensor used in the cold-air connection spigot and in the silencer unit is a flow-resistant SCHAKO measuring cross on which 12 measuring points have been distributed by the median line method to enable precise air measurement. The maximum deviation of the volumetric flows is +/- 5%, relative to the nominal volumetric flow Vnenn, based on a calibration curve of 12 m/sec.
The built-in sound absorber part reduces the flow-generated noise. An additional sound absorber for further reduction of the flow-generated noise and an acoustic cladding for reducing the radiated noise are available.
