Fields of application

SCHAKO AQSH, the hybrid terminal unit for cooling, heating and fresh air supply, which combines the high heat output of a fan coil unit with the comfort and efficiency of an induction unit and is particularly quiet at the same time. Their compact design makes them particularly suitable for installation in corridors, e.g. in hotels, care homes or hospitals, as well as for installation in ceiling boxes in offices, where the secondary air is drawn in from below and the supply air is blown out horizontally into the room.

Function

Cooling and heating with conditioned outside air

The outside air provided by a centralised air treatment system for hygienic air exchange is blown through nozzles in the unit to the ventilation grille. This generates induction, with which secondary air (room air) is drawn in through the heat exchanger coil, conditioned and mixed with the outside air. In induction mode, the units are particularly quiet and therefore guarantee maximum convenience at night. If the load in the room increases, or if the fresh air supply is interrupted during unoccupied periods, the fan switches on, drawing in more room air and increasing the cooling/heating output. Comfort conditions are also guaranteed in fan coil mode. The condensate drip tray integrated in the unit enables operation at supply temperatures of 7 °C.
