Curved slot diffuser for plasterboard ceilings DSCP

Fields of application

The DSCP type of curved slot diffuser is suitable for use in rooms from 2.6 m to 4 m high for direct installation in plasterboard ceilings or ceiling cavities (pressure ceilings).

The special shape of the frame profile allows good installation in the plasterboard ceiling. As standard, the profiles are prepared ex-factory with screw bores to enable them to be screw-mounted easily to the plasterboard ceiling. There is also the option of mounting them with a clamping bracket. Airflow to the slot outlet is through a compression ceiling or or through connection boxes above the GRP ceiling specifically designed for PLASTER outlets (no direct connection to the outlet).

The air deflection blades adjustable from below allow a variety of throw adjustment options. Thus, the air throw pattern can be adjusted from a vertical throw in heating mode to a horizontal throw in cooling mode. In cooling mode, a one- or two-way air throw pattern can be set. A one-way air throw pattern in “outside” direction is preferred. The blades produce a stable air jet. This achieves very high induction while the velocity and temperature difference of the supply air jet are reduced very effectively.

The slot diffuser can be manufactured as 1 or 2–slot model and is available either as a single piece or in band design. In addition, it can be combined with the DSCP slot diffuser.

Function

The large free cross-section allows a greater volumetric flow in the DSCP compared with other slot diffusers. The stable air jet and high induction means that the DSCP slot diffuser can be used in cooling mode up to ΔT0 ≤ -8 K.

The resistance created by the blades ensures that the supply air is distributed equally across the whole length of the slot diffuser both in a single-piece model and in band design.

Due to the central housing of the blades, the free cross-section is always the same. Pressure loss and sound power level remain therefore constant even when the blades are adjusted.

A subsequent change of the air jet direction on-site is possible at any time because the air deflection blades of SCHAKO DSCP can be easily adjusted from the outside as is usual for SCHAKO products.

If a desired blade position is specified in the order, it will be set at the factory.

Volumetric flow range

60 - 120 m³/h per metre slot, use in VVS installations from 100 - 40%
