Privacy policy and cookies

Last updated: 17 March 2026

It is important to us to protect your personal data during collection, processing and use when you visit our website. We treat your personal data confidentially and compliant with data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

1 Collection and processing of (personal) data

1.1 Logging of non-personal data

You may visit our website without registering or providing information about yourself. Each time a user accesses our website or when a file is called, data about this process is automatically collected and stored in a log file. Specifically, the following data record is stored in response to every call: name of the called file;

  • Date and time of retrieval;
  • Transferred data volume;
  • Notification whether retrieval was successful;
  • Description of the type of web browser used;
  • Requesting domain.

IP addresses are not registered completely but shortened before they are stored. Therefore, tracking to a certain computer is not possible. Storage only serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. We use this information to improve our website continuously, to update it and, consequently, to increase its attractiveness.

We do not combine logged data with other data sources, in particular data allowing identification of a certain person.

1.2 Collection of personal data

Personal data, such as your name, your address, phone number or e-mail address will not be collected unless you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. as part of your desired registration, a survey, a prize draw, to execute a contract or when you request information.

We inform you that there may be security gabs when transmitting data over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail). Complete protection of your data against access by third parties is not possible.

1.3 Use of personal data

Insofar as you have provided your personal data to us, we only use it for technical administration of our websites and to fulfil your wishes and meet your requirements, in particular to execute the contract concluded with you and to answer your request.

If you send us inquiries using our contact form, we will store the information you specified in the contact form, including contact details you provided, to process the request and for any related future questions.

We will not forward, sell or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties, unless

  • it should be necessary in order to execute the contract. For example, it may be required to forward your address and purchase order to our suppliers when you order products;
  • this might be necessary for invoicing purposes;
  • you have explicitly consented to the disclosure of your data.

You are entitled to withdraw such content any time with future effect. Your personal data will be deleted and/or blocked

  • if you withdraw your consent to storage of your data;
  • whenever knowledge of the data is no longer required for the purpose associated with it being stored, or if storage is not permitted for other legal reasons

1.4 Name and address of the person responsible for processing

The data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation, other data protection laws in the Member States of the European Union and other provisions of a data protection character is:

2 Cookies and web analytics tools

2.1 Miscellaneous

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that make it possible to store user-specific information on the user’s device while they are using the website. Cookies allow us, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the websites, to analyze the behaviour of the page usage, but also to make our offer more customer-friendly.

Most cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted when you close the website. Other cookies are stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser when you visit our website the next time.

If you do not want us to recognize information about your computer, please configure your Internet browser to delete cookies from your computer hard drive, block all cookies or warn you before a cookie is stored. Probably, you will not be able to access all functions of our website in this case.

If you leave our website by clicking on a link or banner ad and thus open a third-party website, it might be that cookies are also set by the addressees of the clicked landing page. We are not legally responsible for these cookies. Please refer to the relevant privacy policies to learn about the use of such cookies and the information stored in them by our advertising partners.

2.2 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses what are known as ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually sent to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. However, if you enable the IP anonymisation function on this website, Google first abbreviates your IP address in member states of the European Union or in other signatories to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only transmitted to a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases, where it is then abbreviated. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and to deliver services associated with use of the Internet to the website operator. The IP address obtained from your browser by Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. With a setting in your browser software, you can prevent cookies from being stored; however, we would advise that, if you choose to do so, you may not be able to use the full range of functions on this website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google from recording data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address), and the processing of that data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

You can prevent recording by Google Analytics by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie is set that prevents your details from being recorded when you next visit the website:

Click here to opt-out.

For more information about terms & conditions of use  and data protection, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html or https://www.google.de/intl/en_uk/policies/. We advise that this website has added the code ‘anonymizeIp’ to ensure that Google Analytics only records an anonymised version of IP addresses (this is known as IP Masking).

2.3 Google Maps

This website uses an API to access the Google Maps map service. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use the functions of Google Maps, you need to store your IP address. This information is usually sent to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. The provider of this website has no influence over the transmission of this data.

More information about working with user data can be found in the data protection statement issued by Google: https://www.google.de/intl/en_uk/policies/privacy/

2.5 Demographic features at Google Analytics

This website uses the ‘demographic features’ function from Google Analytics. This enables you to produce reports that include statements about the age, gender and interests of visitors to your web page. This data is obtained from interest-related advertising by Google and from the visitor details of third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to any specific person. You can disable this function at any time using the AdWord settings on your Google account, or you can prohibit any and all recording of your data by Google Analytics as described under ‘Objection to the recording of data’.

2.6 Google Tag Manager (GTM)

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. The Google Tag Manager is a solution that enables the marketer to bundle and manage website tags on a single interface. This tool is a cookie-free domain that does not record any personal data. Instead, it serves only to activate other tags that are able, in some circumstances, to record data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. Anything that has been disabled at domain or cookie level remains disabled in relation to all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

This enables Facebook to assign the visit to our pages to your user account.
